Liby Lougue

Liby Lougué was born in Ouagadougou in 1987 to a painter and a seamstress. He began drawing at a young age, drawing comics and portraits that he sold to his classmates.
This passion for drawing gradually developed into figurative painting under the influence and guidance of his father.

His first paintings consisted mainly of a fusion of acrylic paint and a collage of local fabrics that he had collected in his mother's studio.

In 2008 he met the Burkinabe painter and designer Hamed Ouattara, with whom he refined his painting techniques.

Since 2011, he has participated in numerous exhibitions in Burkina Faso and represented his country at international events such as the recent Jeux de la Francophonie in Ivory Coast.
