Moogoo Creative Africa is committed to preserving and adding value to traditional craftsmanship, in Burkina Faso and in other countries such as Ukraine, Iran and Palestine. Guided by the principles of fair trade, we see it as our mission to give artisans greater visibility and to open up access to European markets for them.
We work directly with artisans and cooperatives and focus on long-term partnerships. We pre-finance 50% of each order and place orders regularly, so that our partners can plan with a reliable income. For many of our products we use materials from the region, often reclaimed materials such as oil drums, scrap metal or old wood. This keeps value creation local and strengthens the local economy.
At the heart (and beginning) of Moogoo are African designer furniture and home accessories, conceived and crafted by designers and artisans in Burkina Faso. This furniture and these accessories are made entirely in Burkina Faso and are creations of wood, iron, bronze and recycled materials that bring together old and new, and whose fusion of different materials gives rise to entirely new forms and purposes.
For us, Moogoo is a link between design and ethics, between artisans and Europe. An initiative that creates lasting income opportunities in Burkina Faso and other countries.
