Kaboré squad

Kader Abdul Kaboré is a versatile Burkinabe artist born in Ouagadougou in 1988. He lives and works in Burkina Faso.

He began his training at the Centre Lukaré with instructors Polin BAIGABOU (sculpture), Madi GUIRE (sculpture and design) and Inoussa DAO. He also benefited from the advice and criticism of Hassan DAO.

In 2012, he completed his training with a three-month internship at the ENSCI in Paris (Ecole nationale supérieure de création industrielle) with the designers Didier GUGOLE and François AZAMBOURG. At the same time, he took additional modules at the Ecole BOULE. At the end of 2011, beginning of 2012, after obtaining the first prize as "Artisan créateur" (Ethique.org) and the second prize for "Design de l'Indépendance" (Burkina-Faso), he began producing his own creations and training young apprentices.

He is one of the invited artists for the collaborative project HORS PISTES, which explores new ways of creation between design and craftsmanship.

In 2014 he traveled to the USA to conduct workshops for adults in Woshoque, Arizona, and New York.

Between 2014 and 2016 he was artistic director of the Centre Lukaré before opening his own space, the KA-YIIRI Ateliers, in 2016.
